Alba has worn the iconic haircut since she was 13 years old.
In a new interview with Women’s Health magazine, 39-year-old Jessica Alba spoke about fashionable hairstyles and remembered that as a teenager she was cut like Rachel from the TV series Friends, and was done by the same stylist who later worked with Jennifer Aniston – Chris Macmillan.
“Chris gave me my first real haircut. I was 12 then, almost 13 years old. This was after my audition for Milla Jovovich’s music video, where I auditioned for the role of Milla as a child, ”Jessica shared. According to her, after being approved for the role, she was asked to go to the hairdresser and change her haircut.
“McMillan gave me a Friends style haircut, my hair was shorter and layered in layers, I loved it incredibly. “God, it’s just amazing, how beautiful!” I thought, ”said Alba.
However, her father did not appreciate her transformation and put Jessica under house arrest due to the fact that she cut her hair without his permission. “I told him: ‘Mom was with me, she allowed me! This is for work. ” Although, in fact, I myself asked to make it shorter. After a while, Chris McMillan became very famous, and I was one of the first to whom he cut Rachel’s hair, ”the actress shared.
By the way, 51-year-old Chris McMillan became famous as the creator and popularizer of Rachel Green’s haircuts. He still works with Jennifer Aniston.
