Vivo quietly announced today its new low-cost Y-series smartphone in China.
What is known
The model was named Vivo Y52s. The device is equipped with a 6.58-inch IPS-display with FHD + resolution and a teardrop notch. The panel has an aspect ratio 20: 9, sweep frequency 90 Hz and sensor readout frequency 180 Hz. The screen also supports HDR10. The 7-nanometer MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor is responsible for the device’s performance. It comes paired with a 5G modem and 6 or 8 GB of RAM. Both variants have 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It can be expanded with a microSD card.
The Vivo Y52s also comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The novelty is powered via the USB-C port. A fingerprint scanner is installed on the side of the device. On the back you can see an LED flash and a 48MP + 2MP dual main camera. It supports night mode, electronic stabilization and video recording up to 4K (30fps). The front camera in the smartphone is 8-megapixel.
Vivo Y52s comes with Android 10 operating system and FunTouchOS 10.5 proprietary interface. Later it should be replaced with the new Origin OS shell.
Price and when to wait
The smartphone has already started to be sold in China. For the 6/128 GB version, they ask for $ 244, and for the 8/128 GB version – $ 275.
