Vivo S7t 5G: the company’s new smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 820 chip and OriginOS on board (actually not)

Vivo has announced in China its next smartphone with support for the fifth generation (5G) network – I live S7t.

What is known

The device cannot be called new. In fact, this is an almost complete copy of the regular Vivo S7, which debuted in China last fall. The T-version of the device differs only in the processor. Instead Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, MediaTek Dimensity 820 chip was installed in the smartphone. This is its direct competitor. The SoC is built on the 7nm FinFET process technology. It uses four energy-efficient 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores and four high-performance Cortex-A76 cores at 2.6 GHz. The processor is paired with 8 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 128 GB of ROM (UFS 2.1).

All other specifications of the Vivo S7t have remained the same. The device received a 6.44-inch FHD + AMOLED display with a “bang” for a double selfie camera of 44 MP + 8 MP, a triple main camera of 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP, a 4000 mAh battery with 33-watt charging and a proprietary shell OriginOS. It is based on the Android 11 operating system.

Price and when to wait

The Vivo S7t has already started selling in China for $ 417. Whether the novelty will appear in other regions is still unknown.
