On the eve of Veterans Day, which is celebrated on Wednesday, the Donald Trump administration announced that from now on, all veterans and immediate family members of military personnel killed in the fighting will be able to visit US national parks for free.
“The Trump administration is committed to honoring American patriots – the men and women who have served in our military,” said Home Secretary David Bernhardt.
Last week, President Donald Trump declared November “National Month for Veterans and Military Families.”
Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11. It was on this day in 1918 that the First World War ended with the defeat of Germany.
