Alexander Krasyuk, co-promoter of mandatory contender for the WBO heavyweight title, Alexander Usik, suggests that WBA, WBO and IBF title holder Anthony Joshua will agree to sacrifice one of his belts to meet WBC champion Tyson Fury.
“Usyk is a mandatory contender for the WBO title, not a mandatory contender for Joshua personally. Alexander claims the title, and the owner of the belt, whoever it is, is his potential contender.
Many boxing fans would like to see Usyk and Joshua fight, especially here in Ukraine, as well as all over the world. But the fight between Fury and Joshua is expected more, since they are both British guys, both are in heavyweight.
Perhaps there is a chance that they will fight for the title of undisputed world champion. This has never happened in the history of boxing. This is the cherry on the cake. If Joshua has a chance to fight Fury, I think he will vacate the title. This is my personal opinion, “the talkSPORT portal quotes Krasyuk.
