Tyson on Berlanga’s knockout streak: “He’ll be even higher when he knocks out an opponent in round 10”

American super middleweight puncher Edgar Berlanga (15-0, 15 KOs) continues to amaze the sports world. The boxer’s successes are increasingly attracting the attention of fans and professionals. Last Saturday, at at the MGM Grand convention center in Las Vegas, on the undercard of the Lopez-Lomachenko match, Berlanga defeated Lannel Bellows in the first round. Thus, the fighter continued his streak of knockout victories in the first three minutes, which attracted the attention of Mike Tyson himself:

“Berlanga looked fantastic. But he will really be great when he knocks out an opponent in the 10th round.”

Recall that Tyson began his campaign for fame with 19 knockouts in a row, 12 of which were in the first round.

A similar opinion was expressed by the former champion of the two divisions and now the coach, Ivan Calderon:

“He showed that he can hit fast and hard, but we still don’t know his real capabilities. So far, he’s a guy who just hits well and hasn’t had any serious opponents yet.”
