On Tuesday, the White House hosted a summit on the problems of vaccination against COVID-19 in the country.
Addressing the participants, US President Donald Trump praised the work of everyone who worked on the vaccine. He recalled that only days separate the country from the moment when the vaccine will be approved by the US regulatory authorities.
The President stressed that the successful development of an effective vaccine has become an exceptional achievement in modern history.
Trump stressed that the vaccine will be free.
He also noted that the United States will share it with other countries.
In response to questions, the president reiterated the election rigging and expressed hope that the next administration would be the Trump administration.
The meeting was attended by experts from the Supersonic Speed program, representatives of states and the business community.
Vice President Mike Pence attended the summit.
Participants at the event include National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien, Health Secretary Alex Azar, Presidential Adviser Jared Kushner, White House Pandemic Task Force Coordinator Deborah Birx, and Supersonic Velocity Program Manager and Program Manager Moncef Sloughi.
Speaking at the summit, Sloughy spoke about the technologies that have made it possible to develop a vaccine in the shortest possible time.
The purpose of the event is to highlight the safety of the developed vaccine and outline plans for its distribution.
Representatives of President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team were not invited to the summit.
President Trump signed a decree guaranteeing that Americans will have priority access to the COVID-19 vaccines used in the country, according to a White House statement released on Tuesday.
