Trump spoke out against changing the rules of the debate

US NEWS

US President Donald Trump made it clear that he is against changing the rules of the second and third debates with Democrat Joe Biden, saying that he won the first round “with ease”.

The hour and a half debate on Tuesday was tense and chaotic, with both candidates frequently interrupting each other, especially Trump.

Many journalists and political analysts called this meeting the worst presidential debate in history.

The Independent Presidential Debate Commission said it will soon announce tougher rules for the Trump-Biden debates, scheduled for October 15 and 22, to give events “additional structure … to ensure a more orderly discussion.”

However, Trump tweeted: “Why would I allow the Debate Commission to change the rules for the second and third debates if I easily won the first?”

Biden did not object to the format, but called Trump’s behavior “national embarrassment.”
