US authorities have obtained indictments against three members of the Oath Keepers ultra-right militia.
They are accused of conspiracy to storm the Capitol in an attempt to prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election.
The indictment alleges that 38-year-old Jessica Marie Watkins and 50-year-old Donovan Ray Crawl of Ohio, and 65-year-old Thomas Caldwell of Virginia colluded in November to obstruct Congress.
If convicted, they face up to 20 years in prison.
They were previously charged on the basis of a criminal complaint and all three were taken into custody after a judge ruled that they were a danger to society and could not be released on bail.
An updated complaint against them, which was made public earlier this month, says the FBI has collected messages they received during the January 6 Capitol riots in Washington.
