Taras Shelestyuk weighed Usik’s chances in a potential fight with Povetkin

Ukrainian welterweight Taras Shelestyuk shared his thoughts on the potential outcome of the fight between mandatory WBO heavyweight title challenger Alexander Usik and interim WBC title holder Alexander Povetkin. According to Shelestyuk, this fight would have turned out to be unpredictable. The boxer said that Usik and Povetkin would have an equal chance of winning.

“This fight will be unpredictable. Povetkin is strong mentally and has a hard blow. Usyk is technical and physically strong for 12 rounds. 50/50 chances,” Taras Shelestyuk wrote in the comments under the review of the fight Alexander Usik – Derek Chisora, which he posted on his YouTube channel.

Note that earlier Alexander Povetkin claimed that he was not interested in a duel with Usik.

We will remind, Shelestyuk also explained why Usik so often missed in the battle with Chisora.
