Supreme Court Denies Republican Appeal of Pennsylvania Election

The U.S. Supreme Court has announced that it will not hear an appeal by Pennsylvania Republicans seeking to disqualify mailed ballots for the 2020 presidential election that arrived after election day.

The short court ruling does not indicate the grounds for the refusal to consider the case, which in practice meant the end of the elections in the Supreme Court.

Judges Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsach expressed their dissenting opinions, saying the court should have used the case to guide the decision on future elections.
