The US National Hurricane Observation Center reported that Tropical Storm Delta, the 25th storm to be named this year, has formed in the southern Caribbean.
Based on its trajectory, Delta is likely to be the fourth hurricane to threaten the US Gulf Coast this year.
According to the latest data, the storm is located about 265 kilometers south-southwest of the city of Negril in Jamaica and is moving at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour. The wind speed inside the hurricane reaches 95 kilometers per hour.
Forecasters believe that it may intensify to a hurricane when it comes to the west coast of Cuba.
Hurricane warnings have been issued for this area of Cuba. The warning is already in effect on the island of Juventud, south of Cuba.
