Irina was provided with oversized clothes for shooting.
Recently, the paparazzi captured Irina Shayk during a photo shoot for the German edition of Vogue. The shooting took place at the Grand Hotel Villa D’Este on Lake Como. The behind-the-scenes footage allowed users to see some of the less beautiful moments of the glamorous photo shoot, during which Irina changed many outfits.
In particular, the paparazzi showed Shayk in a tight skirt that did not fit on the model’s body and had to be left unbuttoned. In addition to the skirt, Irina tried on other things that look like they are too small in backstage photos. Some of the users claim that Shayk has recovered, some sympathize with the model and blame the stylists, who even the model “are trying to fit too ideal parameters.”
This topic has already been raised by stylist Fran Burns: she posted a photo in which a petite model cannot button up Celine pants, provided to her for shooting. Fran urged to reconsider the dimensional grid of things offered to models.
This is totally unacceptable. It is fundamentally wrong to assume that this is the norm. We are responsible for those in our care on set, and we must make sure that beauty standards are not limited to size, which is completely unrealistic for most.
– commented Burns.
Earlier this year, a petition was created to increase the size of the models’ clothes. It was signed by at least 15 thousand people.
