Shakur Stevenson is ready to replace Miguel Berchelt in the fight against Oscar Valdez on December 12

Ex-featherweight champion (up to 57.2 kg), American Shakur Stevenson (14-0-0, 8 KO) announced on social networks that he was ready to share the ring with undefeated Mexican Oscar Valdez (28-0-0, 22 KO), who, as it became known yesterday, broke off a fight with the holder of the WBC featherweight title (up to 59 kg), compatriot Miguel Berchelt (37-1-0, 33 KO).

Recall that Berchelt starred because of a positive test for COVID-19.

“Hey Oscar Valdez, I can replace Berchelt on December 12th, but I’m not sure if you would agree to that,” Stevenson wrote on Twitter.

In his last bout in June, the American made a successful debut at 130 pounds, knocking out Puerto Rican Felix Caraballo in the 6th round (13-3-2, 9 KO).
