Former world champion in light welterweight (up to 63.5 kg), Russian Sergey Lipinets (16-1-0, 12 KO) shared his expectations of the upcoming fight against undefeated Canadian Castio Clayton (18-0-0, 12 KO), which will take place already this Saturday in the USA.
“We didn’t miss anything in preparation, despite the change of opponent. The meeting with Abdukakhorov took so long that I already began to guess that everything would fail. So I was not shocked. I was ready for any opponent, so I didn’t it occurred to me to give up the fight.
I know about Clayton’s great “amateur” experience. He differs from Abdukakhorov in that he is less active, but more accurate and more patient. I don’t think this fight will be any easier for me. There are no simple rivals at this level, but I am ready to make a statement, “the fighter said.
