The Conservative Regnery Publishing will publish the book by Republican Senator Josh Hawley after it was rejected by Simon & Schuster due to riots at the Washington Capitol Building.
Hawley’s book, The Tyranny of Big Tech, will be out of print this spring, Regnery Publishing reported in a press release.
Senator from Missouri, Hawley was one of several Republicans in Congress who objected to counting the votes of some electoral college members who voted for President-elect Joe Biden.
The very next day after the riots in the Capitol, Simon & Schuster announced that it would not publish the book, explaining that it “cannot support Senator Hawley after his participation in what has become a dangerous threat to our democracy and freedom.”
Hawley called the publisher’s decision “Orwellian” and “a direct attack on the First Amendment” to the US Constitution.
