Time edition has published a list of the 100 most influential people in the world for 2020. The list is divided into categories: “Titans”, “Innovators”, “Artists”, “Leaders” and “Idols”.
Among the artists, the publication noted singer Selena Gomez, performer of The Weeknd, actors Billy Porter, Tyler Perry, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Michael Bakary Jordan, South Korean director Bong Joon Ho, cellist Yo Yo Ma and other stars.

– commented on the inclusion of Selena in the list of actress America Ferrera, noting the success of Gomez in music, television, in the beauty industry, as well as her activism.
Among others, Megan Thee Stallion, NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Christina Cook, and one of the chief virologists of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Shi Zhengli, were included in the Innovators category.
Among the “Leaders” were noted the director of the National Institute of Allergic and Infectious Diseases of the United States Anthony Fauci, WHO Director General Tedros Adhan Ghebreyesus, US President Donald Trump, his opponent Joe Biden, the head of the PRC Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and others.
Among the “Titans” on the list were Google CEO Sundara Pichai and China’s leading epidemiologist Zhong Nanshan and others. And in the category “Idols”, among others, there appeared the names of the founder of the Black Lives Matter movement Angela Davis and tennis player Naomi Osaka. There were no Russian representatives on Time’s list, although in previous years the publication included Vladimir Putin in it.
