Sean Porter: “In a pair of Jermall Charlo – Demetrius Andrade, I would bet on the latter”

Famous American boxer Sean Porter commented on the successful defense of Jermall Charlo (middleweight) for the WBC title against Sergey Derevyanchenko. The fight took place last Saturday in Uncasville, Connecticut. According to Porter, today Charlo is one of the best in his weight category and he is quite capable of defeating the same Gennady Golovkin. At the same time, according to Porter, in the middleweight division there is a fighter who represents an insurmountable obstacle for Charlo and this is Andrade Demetrius (29-0) with 18 knockout wins. According to Porter:

“The Charlo brothers have problems with attacking mobile fighters. If the fight took place today, Jermall would most likely lose it.”

As for the possibility of a meeting between boxers, Porter believes that this fight is unlikely to take place in the near future:

“This is the business side of the issue. Charlo is going against the fighters who are chosen by the leadership and not exchanged for challenges. And for the leadership Andrade is not of commercial interest at the moment.”
