Saul Alvarez can fight Caleb Plant

According to ESPN, Mexican boxing superstar Saul Alvarez is currently in talks with undefeated IBF World Middleweight Champion Caleb Plant, who has confirmed the information. The proposed battle is to take place on December 19th.

We will remind, earlier it became known that “Canelo” broke off relations with the promotion company Golden Boy Promotions and the streaming platform DAZN, with which the Mexican signed a multimillion-dollar contract for 11 fights, signed back in 2018. The reason for the termination of cooperation was Alvarez’s dissatisfaction with the way DAZN management selects opponents for him, as well as attempts by his promoters and streaming service to lower the boxer’s fee.

Recall that Canelo has not fought since November 2019, when it won an early victory over Russian Sergei Kovalev. As for Plant, the last time the IBF champion entered the ring on February 15th, defeating the German Vincent Feigenbutz.
