Korean manufacturer Samsung quietly announced yesterday two new budget smartphones: Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s.
What is known
Let’s start with the younger model Galaxy A02s. It is the successor to the Galaxy A01, which was shown in December this year. The novelty has received a plastic case, 6.5-inch HD + Infinity-V display and octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 1.8 GHz. The chip model is not indicated, but most likely it is SoC Snapdragon 450. The device is also equipped with 3 GB of RAM, a 32 GB drive, which can be expanded with a memory card and a main camera of 13 Mp + 2 Mp + 2 Mp. The front one, in turn, received a 5 megapixel sensor. The Galaxy A02s is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.
The older model Galaxy A12 differs only in some parameters. First of all, the device has not three, but four camera modules. The main sensor with a resolution of 48 MP. It is complemented by a 13 megapixel shirik, a 2 megapixel macro camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. The front camera in the device is 8 megapixels. The smartphone also features a MediaTek Helio P35 chip, memory configurations with 3/4/6 GB of RAM and 32/64/128 GB of ROM, a side fingerprint scanner and a USB-C charging port. The screen and battery in the Galaxy A12 are the same. Both new items are supplied with the Android 10 operating system. There are no NFC modules in smartphones.
Price and when to wait
Samsung will launch the Galaxy A02s in February 2021 for € 150. Galaxy A12 will arrive in January and will start at 179 euros.
