Rashidi Ellis outboxed Alex Rohu and remained undefeated

Golden Boy’s boxing night ended at Fantasy Springs in Indio, California.

In the co-main event, 27-year-old American prospect welterweight (66.7 kg) Rashidi Ellis (22-0-0, 14 KO) faced 23-year-old unbeaten compatriot Alex Roha (16-0-0, 10 KO).

Roha from the start took the center of the ring, working monotonously with two marks and occasionally punching into the body. Ellis, apparently, was satisfied with this alignment, and he relied on his legs and work with his front hand, although it cannot be said that it was successful.

The nondescript action lasted almost until the end of the battle – Ellis did not strive to aggravate, feeling his not critical, but advantage, and Roha frankly did not refine it, realizing this only in the 12th round and giving the audience almost the only bright three-minute.

The score of the judges: 116-112, 116-112 and 115-113. Ellis UD 12.
