Heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev is no stranger to scandals, and the Bulgarian fighter often gets into trouble due to his impulsive nature. So, recently Pulev was accused of sexual harassment for kissing a woman reporter during an interview. After that, Kubrat was actually removed from participation in fights and he had to publicly apologize.
And now a new embarrassment. During a press conference on his fight with Joshua, the Bulgarian boxer made a strange, if not offensive, hint about his opponent’s skin color:
“He has a powerful punch for sure. What are his other strengths? His tan is better than mine.”
This phrase did not go unnoticed. Pulev was immediately accused of racism by fans and colleagues in the ring, and the wave of indignation that passed through social networks, as usual, added sharpness to the future confrontation. You don’t need to be an advanced expert to predict that in the near future the world will hear another public remorse of an outrageous challenger.
Recall that the Bullet-Joshua fight is scheduled for December 12, 2020.
