Oscar De La Hoya bets on Mike Tyson to win against Roy Jones

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya is betting Mike Tyson will beat Roy Jones Jr. when the two boxing legends split the ring on November 28th.

Recall that 54-year-old Tyson, who is the undisputed world heavyweight champion, had his last fight in 2005, having been defeated by knockout to Jornimen Kevin McBride. While 51-year-old Jones only recently hung up his gloves, leaving the professional ring in early 2018.

“I think Teofimo Lopez recently proved that in boxing, the bigger fighter always wins the smaller fighter who is just as skilled as he is,” De La Hoya said.

“It has always been that way, so I bet on Tyson to win. But I wouldn’t be too surprised if Jones can do something like that, as he has always done during his career.”
