OPPO Reno 5 Pro + with Snapdragon 865 chip and 50MP quad camera will hit the global market

OPPO launched an inexpensive flagship smartphone in China last December Reno 5 Pro +, and is now preparing it for a global release.

What is known

As reported by our colleagues at 91mobiles, OPPO Reno 5 Pro + has passed FCC certification with model number CPH2207. Besides, the device was noticed in the Bluetooth SIG database. Therefore, its announcement is just around the corner. Most likely, the novelty will be released early next month.

As a reminder, OPPO Reno 5 Pro + is an improved version of the regular OPPO Reno 5 Pro. The device has a 6.5-inch FHD + AMOLED display at 90Hz, an under-screen scanner, a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging, and last year’s flagship Snapdragon 865 processor.

The device boasts a main camera with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main module. OPPO developed it together with Sony. It is capable of absorbing 63.8% more light than the Sony IMX586. Thanks to this, the pictures should be brighter and clearer. Sony IMX766 has a pixel size of 1.0 microns and a matrix size of 1 / 1.56 inches. It is complemented by a 16MP wide-angle module, a 13MP telephoto lens with support for 5x optical zoom and a 2MP macro module. The front camera in the smartphone is 32 MP.

In China, OPPO Reno 5 Pro + is asked from $ 612. How much the novelty will cost on the global market is still unknown.
