Not Samsung or LG: OPPO X 2021 stretch smartphone screen made by BOE

OPPO yesterday revealed a smartphone with a stretch display. The company did not provide any details about the screen of the novelty during the announcement. There were rumors that it was created by Samsung or LG, but this turned out to be not the case.

What is known

This unique device panel was developed by the Chinese component manufacturer BOE. This was announced by the vice president of the company Li Xuezheng on the social network Weibo. He added that the engineers are planning to make it a commercial version. As for the OPPO X 2021 smartphone, it is not yet known when it will hit the market. Perhaps the device will remain a prototype.

As a reminder, OPPO X 2021 received a flexible OLED panel. It stretches from 6.7 inches to 7.4 inches. Double motors and special plates, which are located under the panel, are responsible for the operation of the system. They pull and stretch the screen with even force. The device also has one fixed and one movable edge. Unfortunately, there is no information about the stuffing of the smartphone.
