No Kirin 9000: Honor V40 flagship smartphones will run on MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor

Recently, there have been rumors on the net that the flagship Honor V40 smartphones will be powered by the Kirin 9000 processor, but it seems that this is not the case.

What is known

According to an insider Teme, Huawei has decided not to share its top-end solution with Honor, as the brand has become independent and is no longer part of the company’s business. In this regard, the flagship smartphones of the line V40 will receive a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor. This is a 7nm chipset. It has a 5G modem as well as four high-performance Cortex-A77 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.6 GHz and four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz.

Recall that the flagship line of devices Honor V40 will include three smartphones. There is no information about the younger model yet, and in the older versions Honor V40 Pro and Honor V40 Pro + are credited with large 6.78-inch displays at 120 Hz, main cameras with 50 megapixel sensors, front cameras with two modules, as well as batteries with 66 W wired charging and 40W wireless.
