Motorola is testing a display for the flagship Nio with an unusual frequency of 105 Hz

New details have surfaced online about Motorola’s next flagship smartphone, which comes with the Nio codename and model number XT2125.

What is known

According to the editor-in-chief of XDA-Developers, Mishaal Rahman (Mishaal Rahman), the company is testing a display for a novelty with an unusual scanning frequency. Instead of the standard 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz, the screen supports 105Hz refresh. Why this is done is not yet clear. Perhaps the engineers just decided to test the panel, as was the case with ASUS ROG Phone 3. Officially, the device supported a 144 Hz screen, but the craftsmen found a hidden mode that allowed activating an even higher display frequency – 160 Hz.

Recall, if the leaks are to be believed, Motorola Nio will hit the market in early 2021. The smartphone is credited with the Snapdragon 865 processor, like the current model, 8/12 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of ROM, FHD + 6.7-inch screen, dual SIM support, 64 MP + 16 MP + 2 MP main camera, 16 MP + front camera 8 MP, and Android 11 out of the box. How much the novelty will cost, there is no information yet.
