Twin Australian boxers Jason and Andrew Moloney recently returned to Las Vegas where their entire team was tested for Covid-19. Bottom line: everyone is healthy, the test results are negative. So the fight on October 31 in Las Vegas, Jason Moloney (bantamweight, 21-1 18 KOs) – Naoya Inoue (75-6) will definitely take place.
Initially, before the pandemic, Inoue was supposed to box with WBO lightweight champion John Riel Casimero. However, Casimero knocked out the African Duke Mikah at the end of September and this gave Moloney the opportunity to become Inoue’s rival.
The satisfied boxer shared his impressions on social networks:
“This is a dream come true. This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for all my life! My goal is to become the best bantamweight, and to become the best, you have to beat the best. This is a serious challenge, but I am 100% ready for it.”
In turn, Bob Arum, said that after Jason’s fight, a fight is planned with his brother Andrew, who will meet in a rematch with Joshua Franco.
