Moderna begins shipping its vaccine to US regions

Moderna and its partners begin distribution of a new vaccine. Trucks are expected to begin delivering the vaccine to more than 3,700 locations in the United States on Sunday, General Gustav Perna said in a telephone news conference.

The second COVID-19 vaccine, approved by federal regulators, will go to doctors on Monday, Perna said. He noted that the delivery date for the first 20 million doses of vaccines produced by Moderna and Pfizer could be shifted to the first week of January.
