WBC middleweight champion (up to 72.6 kg), American Jermall Charlo (31-0-0, 22 KO) continues to assert himself after defeating Ukrainian challenger Sergei Derevyanchenko (13-3-0, 10 KO), with whom he fought last Saturday in the USA.
According to Charlo, the fact that his performance against Derevyanchenko turned out to be less tense than the meeting of the latter with Kazakhstani Gennady Golovkin (40-1-1, 35 KO) proves his leading position in the division.
“The whole world realized that I can fight the best of the best. Derevyanchenko gave GGG a harder fight than me, and I think this is an indicator. I am the best middleweight on the planet,” said the fighter.
