A militant star saved a little dog from euthanasia.
Jean-Claude Van Damme stood up for a three-month-old Chihuahua puppy who was at risk of being put to sleep due to problems with documents. Two months ago, a resident of Oslo, Norway, bought a puppy named Raya from Bulgarian breeders and took him to the vet. The clinic found that the dog’s documents were not all right.
It turned out that she was brought into Norway under forged documents, so the pet could not be registered in the country. The owner tried to return the dog to the Bulgarians, but it was not accepted. The lawyers couldn’t help him either. As a result, in accordance with the laws of Norway, it was decided to euthanize the puppy.
Then the owner decided to create an online petition. Luckily, Jean-Claude Van Damme, a dog lover, Chihuahua owner and a passionate about animal rights, found out about the problem. The celebrity’s attention helped the case move forward. He urged fans to sign the petition, and also addressed the Norwegian authorities:
Please, sign this @Change petition and help me save a puppy https://t.co/yTxPuXzk3X

Van Damme’s appeal attracted a lot of attention, and the Norwegian authorities decided to keep the dog alive. But now they are asking to take her back to Bulgaria. And the owner intends to fight to keep the puppy.
