Ivan Redkach spoke about Lomachenko’s operation: “Give in to the young generation”

Ukrainian welterweight Ivan Redkach commented on the operation that the former united world lightweight champion Vasily Lomachenko did after the fight with Teofimo Lopez.

“In America, an urgent operation is performed in two cases: if a person is dying and if in this example there would be an open fracture, and even with open injuries, if there is no threat of death, they are in no hurry to do the operation.

Obviously, the operation was planned. This kind of operation is not done urgently in America. Moreover, no one will perform an operation without a COVID-19 certificate; two to three days before the operation, there must be a certificate from a doctor or from the hospital where the operation is performed. And also a blood test, etc.

In general, an early recovery. No offense to Ukrainian doctors, but in America, this kind of operation is done much better. The whole world knows that you are the best, but let’s not forget that when you enter the ring, there are no champions, everything is from scratch and only at the end of the fight there is a best and a winner. Give in to the younger generation.

I did the same operation after the fight with Danny Garcia, not a single doctor undertook to do an operation for me urgently until they received all the certificates. Two weeks passed, and I collected all the certificates, only then they took up me. I had one of the best doctors in the world, everything went well, and we are back in the cage, “Redkach wrote on his Instagram page.
