Former world champion in two versions in the first heavyweight division Murat Gassiev may enter the ring as early as 2021. This news was announced by the coach of the Russian boxer Vitaly Slanov.
“I think that in three months we will be ready to fight the next battle,” Slanov said in an interview with the TASS news agency.
Recall that on October 31, Gassiev made his successful debut in the heavyweight division, knocking out Albanian Nuri Seferi in the first round. This fight was for Murat his first entry into the ring after two years of inactivity.
In total, Gassiev has 27 victories (20 of them by knockout) and one defeat. In 2018, he lost the IBF and WBA titles to Ukrainian Alexander Usik in the final of the prestigious WBSS (World Boxing Super Series) tournament.
