It seems that the WBA / WBO / WBC Franchise lightweight champion Vasily Lomachenko has no problems with the weight racer before unification with IBF title holder Teofimo Lopez, despite a lengthy downtime.
The Ukrainian boxer weighed in three weeks before the fight scheduled for October 17. The scales below it showed 141.6 lb (64.2 kg). Thus, Lomachenko only needs to drive 6.6 lbs (3 kg) to meet the 135-lb lightweight limit.
The video of Lomachenko’s weigh-in was posted on Twitter by the World Boxing Council (WBC).

We will remind, earlier Teofimo Lopez Sr., father and coach of the Ukrainian rival, said that his son needs to drive another 5 kg before the upcoming fight. Unlike Lomachenko, who started his pro career in lighter weight classes, it will be more difficult for Lopez to make weight, as Teofimo himself said that he was going to move up to the first welterweight division in the future. But if his father’s words turn out to be true, then this time the weight race should be given to him without much effort.
