Improved Face ID, digital zoom and autonomy: how else the iPhone 12 will differ from the iPhone 11

The other day an insider @Kang revealed detailed specifications, differences and release dates for the iPhone 12 lineup, and now Max Weinbach added his information via Twitter account PineLeaks.

What told

Apple is integrating a dynamic zoning algorithm into new devices, Weinbach said. It will speed up the Face ID sensors for face scanning. The notch, as previously reported, will only be reduced on the younger iPhone 12‌ mini model, which is credited with a 5.4-inch OLED display. This will be done by tighter placement of TrueDepth sensors. “Monobrow” will become narrower, but higher.

Weinbach also said that Apple engineers will programmatically improve the digital zoom in the iPhone 12. The top models iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, in turn, will also boast improved optical zoom and macro mode. Naturally, the company’s engineers have worked on the autonomy of new products. In general, it will increase by 1 hour compared to the iPhone 11, however, this does not apply to the iPhone 12 mini. It, according to the source, will live on the smaller iPhone 11 due to its small size.

We will remind, the presentation of iPhone 12 will take place tomorrow at 20:00 Kiev time. Don’t wait for the full-size AirPods Studio and AirTag tracker at an event.
