Huawei is preparing another Mate 40 – an affordable Mate 40E with a Kirin 990E processor

In the flagship Huawei Mate 40 line and so there are already four models: Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro + and Mate 40 RS Porsche Edition. But it seems that this is not enough Huawei, so she is preparing another smartphone.

What will it be

By Rumor has it that this device will be called the Mate 40E. Apparatus with code designation OCE-AN00 has already been certified by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) and China Telecommunications Equipment Certification Authority (TENAA).

The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), which certifies wireless chargers, indicates that the smartphone will charge 5W. Information about other characteristics are in TENAA.

The most interesting it’s a processor. IN Unlike standard Mate 40s Kirin 9000E processor with clocked at 3.13 GHz, the Mate 40E has a 2.86 GHz processor. Presumably, this is Kirin 990E 5G or Kirin 990 5G. Since in the name of the Mate 40E has the letter E, it most likely works on Kirin 900E 5G.

In addition, the smartphone will receive 6,5-inch OLED screen from resolution 2376×1080 pixels, 6, 8 or 12 GB RAM, 128, 256 or 512 GB ROM, sub-screen fingerprint reader, 4100 battery mAch and operating system Android 10. Front camera 13 megapixel, a main consists of three modules: 50 + 16 + 8 MP.

So the Mate 40E it’s just Mate 40s with a different chip, therefore cost it should be cheaper. When will the official announcement take place? not yet known.
