HMD Global planned to update its top-end Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone to Android 11 late last year, but has only released firmware for the device now.
What is known
The manufacturer announced this on the official forum. The V2.180 system has already started to be received by some users in Europe, the USA, the UK and several countries in the Middle East. A little later, the update will be released in all regions.
Among the innovations, the firmware contains the January security patch, as well as all the main features of Android 11. Recall this is an updated interface, a Conversations section (from English dialogues) in the notification bar, “bubble” messages, an updated power menu, a Media Controls panel in the curtain with quick settings, a section with frequently used applications on the desktop, and much more.
