Donald Trump’s campaign website came under an apparent short-lived attack on Tuesday evening, but the headquarters said the hackers were unable to access sensitive data.
“Tonight, the content on the Trump campaign website has been changed and we are working with law enforcement to identify the source of the attack,” said Chief of Staff for Communications Tim Merto.
“The confidential data was not accessed because such data is not actually stored on this site. The site has been restored, ”added Merto.
Screenshots taken before the site was restored show that the message was posted on it: “This site has been hijacked.”
