Former world champion Grigory Drozd said he liked the actions of mandatory contender for the WBO heavyweight title Alexander Usik in a fight with Derek Chisora. As the expert noted, the first part of the fight was not easy, but he is sure that Usyk did not experience any particular discomfort.
“The first half turned out to be tense. But I want to remind you that Chisora is the ninth number in the heavyweight ranking. I got the impression that Sasha felt comfortable throughout almost the entire fight,” Grigory Drozd said in a comment to RIA Novosti.
The interlocutor of the publication noted that during the battle Usyk rolled in and began to work with his feet. Drozd explained that Alexander worked as number two because he likes to act in this manner.
“Chisora tried to press, but by and large he could not even once lock the Ukrainian. I really liked Usyk in this fight. Sasha beautifully and in a comfortable atmosphere dealt with Chisora, who is one of the heavyweight elite,” Drozd summed up.
We will remind, earlier Kostya Tszyu said that Usyk will have chances to win in a fight with Anthony Joshua.
