George Kambosos: “It’s time to unite lightweight”

Australian lightweight title contender (61.2kg) George Kambosos Jr. (19-0-0, 10 KO) commented on his win over Briton Lee Selby (28-3-0, 9 KO) at Matchroom tonight Boxing in London.

“I can’t stop smiling. It took a lot of work, but I took a lot of rounds. My shots hit the target and I thought I shocked him several times. But he is a former world champion and still a very status fighter. This is a great win.

I knew I was going to win, even though people thought I was arrogant. But this is not so, I am just confident in myself and understand that I am at the peak of my career. There is still much to be done. Ahead is the unification of the division, “the soldier said.
