Young lightweight boxers Jervonta Davis (23-0 22 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (20-0 17 KOs) continue to exchange “pleasantries” on social media, as they have not been able to meet in the ring.
So, Garcia promised, “someday to kick Davis’s ass,” to which he replied:
“You know that day is coming, so you don’t have a date for the fight, because they are waiting for me … finish the clowning with the fake boxer brothers Paul … Golden Girl.”
After these words, Garcia could not help but recall the future fight with Davis:
“Continue to fight people half your size! I’m not going to wait! You’re on my way to greatness, I’ll come for you!”
On October 31, Gervonta Davis faced off Leo Santa Cruz (37-1-1 19 KOs) in the main Showtime PPV fight. Santa Cruz, world champion in 4 weight divisions, had his last successful fight last November against Miguel Flores. In turn, Davis made his lightweight debut in December 2019 and won the WBA Regular Belt after defeating Yuriorkis Gamboa.
Ryan Garcia has no date for the fight. He is expected to fight Luke Campbell in November (20-3 16 KOs).
