Eddie Hearn: “I wanted to organize a fight between Andrade and Charlo, but I got no answer.”

Prominent British promoter Eddie Hearn says he tried to organize a middleweight unification fight between his ward WBO world champion Demetrius Andrade and Jermall Charlo, who owns the WBC title, but was refused.

“I lost track of the battles we were trying to organize for the people. Just the other day I contacted Luis Decubas and the PBC, suggesting they organize a duel between Charlo and Andrade. We could do it on FOX and it wouldn’t be that expensive for them.

We could take the amount you paid Derevyanchenko. This is a great fight, but I have not received an answer. I don’t think it’s Luis’s fault here, as no one wants to fight Andrade. He’s a good boxer and would most likely beat Charlo, ”Hearn said.

As a reminder, Andrade’s next fight will take place on November 27th at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, USA against Dusty Harrison. As for Charlo, he successfully defended his title on September 26, defeating Sergei Derevyanchenko by decision.
