The actress herself considers participation in the “Bond” “revolutionary”.
In April this year, the news hit the network that Lashana Lynch will not accidentally appear in the new James Bond film “No Time to Die.” Recall that according to the plot of the film, while the secret spy played by Daniel Craig lives in seclusion in Jamaica, the nickname “agent 007” is assumed by the character Lynch. Although she is not yet a full-fledged “new Bond”, Lashana has been targeted by haters on the network, upset that a black woman can replace the legendary agent.
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Lynch shared how she overcame the sarcastic comments of Internet trolls.
“For a week, I removed social media apps, meditated and didn’t see anyone other than my family. At the same time, reassuring himself that the aggressive comments were written, ultimately, without a personal background, “- said the actress.
Lashana suggested that the fact that the black singer appeared in Bond was “very revolutionary” in itself. But the negative reaction does not upset her, because people react to an idea that has nothing to do with her life. The actress also revealed that she worked closely with screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge to give her character a “fresh feminine perspective.”
No Time to Die will be released on April 2, 2021.
