Don’t get caught: Xiaomi warns of a fake smartphone ahead of the Redmi Note 9T announcement

Today, January 8, Xiaomi will fly to Spain to unveil the Redmi Note 9T. Nevertheless, on the eve of the announcement, the company faced an unpleasant surprise, which it decided to warn its fans about.

What is known

Head at Redmi India Sneha Tainwala warned Twitter users about the Redmi 10T smartphone coming to Amazon. The device page uses an image of the Mi 10 Ultra, which looks more like a bug on the side of the store.

Still, Tainwala decided to note that there is no such smartphone in the company’s lineup, because today Xiaomi will present the Redmi Note 9T, and in the confusion, those who want to quickly buy a new gadget can take the wrong one. Similar cases have already happened with the Xbox One S and Xbox Series S, where people were confused not only by the name, but also by the similarity of the console boxes. Sneha Tainwala advised before buying to check the official list of available smartphones on the official Xiaomi website.

Redmi Note 9T will be presented only in the evening, but insiders have already leaked the characteristics of the device. The smartphone is credited with 6,53-inchIPS display, a Dimensity 800U processor, and up to 8GB of LPPDR4x RAM. The smartphone should receive a front camera with a resolution of 13 MP, and photosensors of 48, 8 and 2 MP are used as the main ones.
