According to BoxingScene.com, Daniel Jacobs (36-3, 30 KOs) and Gabriel Rosado (25-12-1, 14 KOs, 1 NC) have entered into an agreement regarding the organization of the fight, which will take place on November 27 and will be held as part of the second average weight. The fight will be spearheading the show from streaming platform DAZN, which will air the event across the United States and the United Kingdom.
Initially, DAZN management considered John Ryder as the next opponent of Jacobs, as they were preparing to launch their service in the UK, but in the end, both sides agreed on Rosado, who, since December last year, knocked out a fight with Jacobs.
Recall that ex-world champion Daniel Jacobs has not fought since the end of 2019, when he prematurely stopped in the 5th round the former holder of the 160-pound title, Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (51-4-1, 33 KO). Rosado, within the framework of the same evening of boxing, outboxed the experienced Mexican Humberto Ochoa (33-9-2, 22 KO) after ten rounds.
