Due to the coronavirus pandemic, vending machine sales have dropped significantly, prompting global soft drink leader Coca-Cola to resort to the idea of subscribing to vending machines.
As reported by the Japanese publication Nikkei, from April Coca-Cola Japan will experimentally begin selling drinks at a fixed price, when season ticket holders will be able to receive one bottle from the vending machine daily. The price of a monthly subscription will be $ 25, that is, cheaper than a dollar per day, but, however, somewhat more expensive than buying several packages in small wholesale.
Subscription service will be provided through the Coke On application. In total, the program is supposed to involve about 340,000 vending machines throughout the country.
