The model explained why she took those heartbreaking pictures in the hospital.

A few weeks ago, Chrissy Teigen and her husband, John Legend, suffered a miscarriage. This would be the couple’s third child, whom they immediately decided to name Jack. Chrissy’s pregnancy was difficult, and at 20 weeks the model lost the baby. Doctors diagnosed Teigen: partial placental abruption

After the tragedy, Chrissy posted on her Instagram a series of black and white pictures taken in the hospital, in which she cries bitterly. These photos scared many of her subscribers, some condemned the model for being too frank. But Chrissy recently wrote an essay for Medium that explained everything.

I was given blood bags, but they all just passed through me, as if we weren’t doing anything. At night I was told that it was time to stop the procedures. At first I cried a little, and then convulsions with snot and tears began, my breath could not keep up with my deepest sadness. They gave me oxygen. And you saw it in the first photo,

– writes Teigen.

I asked Mom and John to take these photos, even though it was very unpleasant. John didn’t want to be on camera, but I said that I needed it, that he just had to do it. He really didn’t want to. Then he did not understand what the point was. But I knew that this moment should be captured and remembered forever. Just like the moment of our kiss at the altar and tears of joy after the birth of children. And I was absolutely sure that this should be shared with people,

Chrissy continued.

She noted that she is not at all worried about the negative reactions of some people to these pictures:

You can’t even imagine how much I don’t care that you don’t like these photos. I don’t care that you wouldn’t do that. I experienced it, I took photographs, and they are for those who have experienced the same, and those who are interested to see what it feels like.
