OnePlus is one of the few companies to support their smartphones the longest, but it looks like this is about to change. At least in the budget segment of devices.
What is known
Last month, the manufacturer announced its cheapest smartphones: OnePlus Nord N100 and OnePlus Nord N10 5G. Both new items work out of the box on the Android 10 operating system. In 2021, they should be updated to Android 11. Unfortunately, according to company representatives, this will be the only major OS update. For comparison, state employees Samsung and Nokia in this price segment usually receive at least two major system updates.
“The Nord N10 5G and N100 will receive one major Android update and a total of two years of security updates. The plan for these two devices meets the standards for smartphones in the affordable price segment. As always, we will continue to listen to our users’ feedback and look for ways to improve the software experience across all OnePlus smartphones. “
Recall OnePlus Nord N100 and Nord N10 5G start at € 200 in Europe. The older model has an FHD + screen at 6.5
