Kell Brook claims that his fight with Terence Crawford on November 14 is not just a commercial event. According to the boxer, he is terribly annoyed by people who claim that the main reason for his fight with Crawford is the desire to make decent money before he leaves the sport.
Former IBF welterweight champion Brooke (39-2, 27 KOs) insists that his only job in this fight is to knock the undefeated “pound for pound” fighter Crawford (36-0, 27 KOs) off the throne.
However, fans who suspect Brook of commercialism can be understood. So, boxing fans want to know why Brooke hasn’t been looking for serious contenders since the defeat of Eroll Spence Jr. in 2017. Then Brooke could challenge the champions Jarrett Hurd and Jermell Charlie, but he did not.
In an interview with IFL TV, Brooke spoke about his plans:
“Everyone says that I think the fight is like a big paycheck. But can you do that with an opponent like Crawford? I go to this fight with one goal – to become a two-time world champion.”
