Bob Arum commented on rumors about the cancellation of the fight Fury – Wilder 3

Co-promoter of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Bob Arum, has confirmed that his fighter is unlikely to have a rematch with Deontay Wilder this year.

“There are no dates available for December. You should understand that there are many college and professional soccer league matches played in the US due to the pandemic. They are very popular in the US.

On December 19, we had hoped to have a fight between Fury and Wilder, but ESPN from Tyson and Fox from Deontay reported that this date was not available due to five matches of the student championship that will take place that day. These are massive matches and there will be two more NFL games played.

The fight will fail on December 19, and there are no more dates available for the Wilder-Fury fight this month. So if Fury wants to fight in December, he can do it with another rival in the UK. Hopefully, if he wins and Anthony Joshua also succeeds on December 12th, we will begin negotiations for their fight next spring, “Bob Arum told talkSPORT.
